Pregnancy WeightForum - Questions & Answerspregnancy weight?Question: I had my 2nd sleep4you.com/sleep.php/84/baby.html'>baby 8 months ago. I gained about 35 lbs. I have 6 lbs to get off of pregnancy weight and would like to lose about 10lbs. I am 138 right now. I have just joined a gym. What is the most effective way to work out to lose weight. I love the treadmill and eliptical. I try and do the fat burner programs on the machine but I do not feel like I am getting a good work out...I hardly even sweat. What is the best work out to lose weight? How long should I work out a day? How many times per week?Answer: I injured my knee in highschool so running doesn't work for me, I lost 20 pounds (160 to 140 and I'm 5'7) just fast paced walking 5 miles a day, a little time consuming, but easy on the body, and enjoyable, also you don't have to do it all at once, just get outside and take walks with your babies, it's better now with the warm weather coming, at the gym I like to do the eliptical and also lift weights for my arms and butt ![]() Pregnancy weight?Question: I'm not quite sure if I should be worried. I'm 32 weeks pregnant. Throughout my pregnancy I've had constant morning sickness with only 1 month's break from it during my 2nd trimester (yes still loving morning sickness right now). During my 1st-2nd trimester morning sickness, I'd lost nearly 20 pounds.. and went back to my pre-pregnancy weight during my 2nd trimester. I still haven't gained much at all other than 1-2 pounds and have stayed the same weight for the last month. Is this actually part of that so called pregnancy weight gain recommendation or am I not eating enough? I'm not dieting or anything.. I haven't needed to snack all day during my 3rd trimester but just eat the usual 3 meals. I eat less than before but it's just all I can digest. Plus my midwives don't do weigh checks and hasn't said anything.Answer: Ideally there are a certain # of servings of each food source you should eat daily. Hopefully, you are able to take (and kep down) a prenatal vitamin to help get proper nutrients. As a golden rule, it seems to be if your health care provider doesn't say it's a problem, it most likely isn't. Being at 33 weeks myself, I now find it easier to keep food down and help deter indigestion & heartburn if I "graze" rather than eat 3 meals a day. It takes some getting used to. I suggest buying foods that you can snack on instead of full meals. Eat 5-6 times a day, and healthy food, it'll help to ensure the right amount is getting to your baby. But everyone puts on weight diffrently and Morining sickness id a big factor. You aren't the first to deal with this problem- i think you have nothing to stress too much about. just do what you can. I wish u and ur baby the best! :) ![]() Pregnancy Weight?Question: How soon did u start gaining a little of your pregnancy weight? Or if you were dieting and losing weight while pregnant, at how many weeks were you unable to lose anymore weight?Answer: end of 2nd month with both my babies ![]()
