The average sized woman should look to gaining 20-35 lbs during her pregnancy, any more is over doing it. It is true that some woman gain more weight and cannot control it, but remember you are not truly eating for two! A baby only needs mom to be healthy and eat healthy. I read somewheres that mommy only needs a couple HUNDRED calories a day in food intake compared to her everyday eating habits, and this isn't until later in her pregnancy. There are many MANY workout routines that are designed for pregnant women. Find an exercise routine that you are comfortable with and your doctor approves of and your overweight scare can be avoided :) Good Luck Momma!
