28 Weeks PregnantForum - Questions & AnswersI am 28 weeks pregnant and having several false contractions a day when do i worry?Question: I am now 28 weeks pregnant yet, this has been going on since about 26 weeks. They have recently been going on more often. They are not getting more intense or close enough to worry. Although they do sometimes seem as if they are happening for long periods of time. When should i worry this is my 4th sleep4you.com/sleep.php/84/baby.html'>baby and don't remember having them this often or feeling them this much.Answer: Ugh I feel for you. This is my 3rd and I started having them at 15 weeks! They are painful too and come more than 4 an hour. My body is funny that way. The usual rule of thumb is if you have more than 4 an hour in a two hour period you need to call. At that time, they will tell you to drink 32oz water and lay on your left side. If they don't stop or subside at that point, they will have you come in and be on the monitor. I know the routine well. This time my midwife says that being my 3rd child things will be more intense. I know it sucks! Just keep an eye on things, chug that water and make sure if you start having them to do what you can to reduce stress. Stress can bring em on too. I find when I'm pretty active in the day I can have many like every 3-5 min for hours! It really does feel like early labor. I hate it. Mine even sometimes come with vaginal and back pain ugh. In your case error on the side of caution. I'd call your doc or midwife and let them know. Then do the water and left side. Its hard to keep an eye on things and not worry but, we kinda have to. You can go to the contractionmaster.com site and time them. I found it made me stress more but good to do if you suspect they are coming closer together. You will need to report that. I will be praying for you. Best of luck and blessings :) ![]() 28 weeks pregnant and wondering what your experiences with Labour/Delivery were?Question: Hi im 28 weeks and 1 day pregnant today and really excited for labour and delivery. I am going to try natural but I dont mind if I end up having an epidural. So I was wondering what your experiences were with Labour - with and without epidural and your Delivery storys with and without epidural, and what the pain was like all that. Thanks!Answer: 1st baby was born at 37 weeks, no epidural, 15 hrs of labor, 2 hrs of pushing, the contractions felt like really bad menstrual pains, the pushing was bad because of the pressure...... the unrelenting constant pressure, she was born 7lbs 7ounces, they laid her on my stomach while they cleaned her, then handed her to me, they also had to stitch me up due to tearing 2nd was born at 39 weeks, I had a membrane sweep and went into labor, my labor was 17 hrs long, pushed for 1 hr, I stopped dilating at 5 cm, they had to give me pictocin and go in and try to turn him, he was facing up, I got the epidural after that, I also went into labot ar 12pm, and was laboring the night, so I was exhausted, I got the epidural at around 3am, it was much better after that, he was born 8lbs 7ounces, I tore just a little I prefered the epidural, my first was hard to focus and hard to enjoy as the pain was extreme, my second I got giddy with anticipation once I had the epidural, even though I hadnt slept in 24 hrs, best wishes, Oh also, I taped both births and am sooo thankful I did, I love watching it with a new persepective now, and seeing them take their first breath, and getting to show my mom who couldnt be there the second time ![]() Can i travel to US if i am 28 weeks pregnant and have a medical certificate, valid tourist visa and insurance?Question: I am 28 weeks pregnant and am planning to visit US for a holiday. I have a valid tourist visa, a medical certificate stating i am fit to travel and a medical insurance in case of need. But don't know the entry requirements into the US for women who are 28 weeks pregnant? can i just travel? is there any policy prevents entry of 28 weeks pregnant women to US? do i need to have any special documents?Answer: Airline have different rules but usually you can't fly at week 32 or later. So in theory you can fly. Your problem is likely to be that you might be refused entrance to the USA. There have been many cases of pregnant ladies entering the USA and overstaying so that their child can be born in the USA and therefore qualify for an American passport. I note that you don't say what passport you have, but Nigerians are well known for trying this. ![]()
